Justice for animals:
What is the Christian response?

 

Deborah is a former Adult RE Adviser, Diocese of East Anglia and lecturer, Suffolk College; also Editor, Catholic Herald 1996-1998, and deputy editor Priests & People, 1991-1996, 1998-2004.

Now with doctorate in Animal Theology, she is Vice Chairman, Catholic Concern for Animals; Vice President, Animals Interfaith Alliance, and Fellow, Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. She is also a novelist and musician.

In her talk, will look at how Christians’ approach to animals can lead the cause for achieving justice for them, and in so doing, help to create a fairer, more compassionate, and more sustainable world.
