Theology and the Edge of Words

Dr. Williams writes: This Lecture will look at the way in which "ordinary" human language constantly pushes at the limits of what is easy and obvious, moving into metaphor, music and silence to represent the world around. This suggests that talking about God is not quite as eccentric as we sometimes think. The question / want to address is what we ought to learn about God and theology from paying better attention to the odd behaviour of our own words under pressure.
